We'll Meet Again
Scarlett, Washington & Whiteley
CD BCD120
Three outstanding individuals
in the world of folk, blues, and swing, Mose Scarlett, Jackie Washington, and Ken Whiteley have created a magical
combination that has become a favourite of listeners across Canada and the U.S. They began a loose association
in the late 1980s, and in 1992 released the Juno-nominated recording "Where Old Friends Meet." This was
followed in 1995 by "Three by Three: Old Friends Meet Again," a 3-CD boxed set with one recording from
each of the trio. In 1998 Jackie Washington released "Midnight Choo Choo." Through it all they have been
bringing audiences their warm, often humorous, and always enjoyable performances.
Recorded live to 20-bit digital multitrack at four concerts in the fall of 1998, We’ll Meet Again captures the
charm and infectiousness of three great musicians who love to play together. From the rambunctious "Honeysuckle
Rose" to the audience sing-along "Diddy Wah Diddy" to the bluesy "Goin’ To German" to
the closing strains of "We’ll Meet Again," this collection of songs is almost like being at one of their
shows. And just like their live performances, We’ll Meet Again is sure to bring a smile.
Produced by Ken Whiteley.
